Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)stone going into it. There is a cave, about a quarter of a mile long built from the fort.
Some of the people in olden times believed there was gold left in it after the Danes and they went into it to search for the money.
When they were about four hundred yards in it they say two "glittering eyes" shining before them and they were afraid to go any further.
There is no wall or fence around it, only two trees, on on each side of it. There is another fort in Grallagh but it is not as large as the one in Dalyston.
There is also an ice-house in a field called the "Lawn". It is believed there was ice preserved in it long ago.
