Stars. Glittering stars tell us of a coming storm.
Clouds. The clouds when lying copper coloured in the West indicate storm.
Birds. Birds fly low when rain is coming.
Animals. Animals stand in shelter of hedges or ditches when storm is approaching.
Good Weather
Sun. The sun setting very red betokens good weather.
Mountains. When mountains seem far away with a mist on top it betokens good weather.
Birds. Birds fly high, especially the swallow when good weather is coming.
