- One moon light night there was a boy coming from a neighbour's house. As he was passing bu a fort he heard very nice music and stood to listen to it. The boy himself could play music and he was trying to learn the tune. But, all of a sudden the music stopped and he heard and angry voice say "Never play that tune at a dance or make it known to the public." So some time afterwards the boy was asked to a wedding. There were two other musicians there so they all got a bit drunk and they started squabbling, each saying he could play more tunes than the other. So in the end they were going to fight. So the boy said "I'll soon settle it all. I'll play a tine that none of you ever heard." He played the tune he heard with the fairies. No sooner had he it finished there was a terrible sound like a blast of thunder shook the house from top to bottom. In a few minutes the house was full of "Good people" and they began beating and making every one they could see. with whips. An army of them got hold of the poor boy and swept him with his bag-pipes up the chimney and he was never heard of or seen afterwards.
