   Stands a very big townland
   I live just in the middle of it
   And it is very grand,
   II
   Mr James lived here one time
   He owned a house and mill
   The were built of stone and lime
   The ruins are standing still.
   III
   There are twenty houses in this townland
   A river and a lake
   From them we get plenty of sand
   For houses we do make
   IV
   There is a fort on the top of the hill
   And daisies grow among the grass
   The large trees stand quite still
   While along them we pass.
   V
   In the winter nights when the sky is grey
   We often can see a light
   On some of the big trees
   That stand to the right.
   VI
   Some of the trees are very low
   Others are nearly blown down
   But they must have been planted long ago
