   Story

   In Cavan there lived a man whose name was Patrick Mc Govern. He was married about two years when a son was born to him. After the birth of the child about five months a strange happening took place.

   Patrick Mc Govern was at a fair in Cavan, and when he returned, the child was missing. He got the guards to make a search for the lost child, but there was no trace.

   Years passed but still no trace of the child, and on the 22nd July 1922 his wife died. Each night after her death this strange figure kept pointing to a certain hole in the ground.

   This happened for a week, and at length, the man told one of his neigbours, to come and stay with him, and he would see for himself. At the same time that night, the figure came through the wall, so the two men saw the object pointing to the place. One of the men was going to speak (to speak) to the object, but it disappeared.
