Boots are repaired locally but not made. There are three shoemakers in Ballybunion - two brothers named Beasley, and another named Mossie Connor. It is a tradition in the Beasley family for the past seventy years, their father and grand-father being shoemakers. In former times there were a great many shoemakers but now it is nearly all machine shoes. Clogs were worn but not made locally. Clogs were very plentiful about forty years ago, and a few people wear them at the present day.- Bailitheoir
