When the sky is covered with small, white, fleecy clouds rain will follow. If a ring is seen around the moon frost is coming. At the end of the month the sky often gets dark and people say "It's going to rain surely." When this happens it is generally because of the full moon that the sky appears dark during the day.
If the sky is red at night when the sun goes down, the weather will remain fine. The people say, "Red at night is the shepherd's delight, But red in the morning is the shepherd's warning."
The wind that blows from Foxford brings most rain to our district while the north wind either brings snow, or "a good drying."
