   have the amount of work alotted to him to do by his father finished on his return. He left his own home and travelled through the country as a tramp and his end was that he died of hunger and starvation.
   When the father heard this he was very angry and he treated Michael very cruelly and made him do all the work. Michael ran away when his father was in bed one night and was never heard of afterwards.
   The father then did the same to Piaras his youngest son and made him word harder that the other two. At night he always made him go to bed before himself and then tied him with ropes and chains, so that he could not get away. When he
