  1. In the property of Mr. Denis O'Donnell, Ballyard there is a fort. It is called by the name of "Cathair na nGall". The nearest townland is Clahane. The fort is round like a penny. There is a fence of stones around it. Just inside the fence there are bushes growing, There is around this hole in the middle.
    It is said that one day a Mr. OShea took a bush out of it and every night when he went
