    Three long years at the foot of the tree Three long years waiting for thee Green Bear of Orange wont you listen to me. Immediately the Green Bear of Orange sat up and told her not ot blame him for his carelessness on the previous nights, and he explained the whole story.
    He advised her to go back to the cottage and work on with the old witch as if nothing happened.
    Next day he employed three or four men to rid him of his persecutor. Two of them were to cut off her head with a sword. The others were to drive a spear through the head lest it would hop back on to the body again.
    They stood at either side of the kitchen door and when the witch and the girl were approaching with a tank one of them -one of the men - saved off the head with a blow. Immediately that it rolled off another man stuck a spear on it.
    They then left it there for some time and went off to milk the cattle. When the evening's work was done they went to far away farms with spades
