  1. About thirty or forty years ago, a man lived in Gneevguilla names Michael Casey. He was a brother of Timothy Casey of Gneevguilla, and of Canon Casey of Castleisland. He was well educated, and he was a poet.
One day he went to visit his friends to Kiskeam, and he accidentally met another man who was also a poet. He had never known him before, and he addressed him in a rhyme so as to find out if he were the man, he said -
"Are you the poet of with and fame.
Are you Michael Callaghan from East Kiskeam".
    The other man replied -
"Are you the band of wit and lore,
Are you Michael Casey of Coom, Rathmore".
The poets knew each other at once, and it is said they exchanged many verses afterwards.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
