    There is a field in Shanmullagh (pron. Shamla) called Glenfonta. Also a hill called Shillin hill where corn was shilled in olden times to remove seed.
    Cams were pots in which resin was boiled to make candles.
    Man-o-war hill near Keady so called because a battle was fought there.
    Mudwall row also near Keady so called because there was a row of mudwall houses there about 100 years ago.
    The "Bar" is in Shanmullagh. It is a kind of cross roads where Fenian meetings were held.
