    same name as herself had the cure for the whooping cough. If they sent three eatables to the child who had it, and the child ate them, it was supposed to get better in a short time.
    To cure thrush, a dirty mouth in the young child, woodbine leaves were boiled in a little water, and the mouth was worked with it, afterwards it was rubbed with a little honey.
