    for before him stood a mighty giant of fierce and terrible aspect. John answered that he was weary and tired after a long days travel and begged for lodging for the night.
    "You can come in" replied the giant.
    "You will make a juicy breakfast in the morning"
    John advanced into the hallway followed by his faithful canine friends which the giant now saw for the first time. He raised his voice in indignation and demanded:-
    "Where are you bringing these" pointing his finger to the dogs, "Into the dining-room" John replied.
    "Take them out" roared the giant
    "Am I welcome to enter myself," asked John
    "You are" replied the Giant.
    "Well, then my dogs must be welcome also"
    The giant was about to protest further, but a snarl from strength made him change is mind swiftly, and they all entered the dining room together. A substantial meal was placed before John and being hungry he ate with relish. He demanded that a sumptuous meal be given to his dogs but again
