Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)a walk through the fields. He met a beautiful lady and he fell in love with her at once. He asked her to marry him which she promised to do if he would always remember to carry something on his hand every time he entered the house. He agreed to do this and they were married and lived very happily for a few years. During this time the land became docked with cattle and horses and Grey became a very wealthy farmer. One day the man forgot to bring something in his hand when entering the house and when he came in his wife said "you have forgotten your promise." She ran out through the door and down towards the Lake with all the cattle and horses after her. When they reached the lake a road opened in it an the lady, the horses, and the cattle all ran in. The man followed for a distance but he had to come out again or he would have been drowned. He soon became as poor as he was before he met his fairy wife.
