    went down to tell the nuns, but when she came to the third landing the candle went out. When she told the nuns they said it was foolish. But the next night the candle went out again. Then Bridie said she would not stay with the man any more. So one of the nuns stayed with him and when she was coming down, the candle was snatched from her hand and she was knocked on the ground.
