- There are a great number of things respected by the people of this district. There are a few crosses known of in this district namely St Brigid's Cross, St Patrick's Cross. St Brigid's Cross was made some time before St Brigids Night. It was made of wheaten straw and woven very carefully by the women of the district. On St Brigids Night all the women of the district went out and brought the cross with them. It was then put up in the roof of the house and it was supposed to keep away evil. They usually made a cross when they were thatching the houses it was a made of rods and put up in the roof of the house. The people bring in red-berry holly at Christmas. They also brought in leaves(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
