- In the townland of Milltown there lived a family of Protestants. One fair day the late man's father went to Ross to sell a horse. He was fond of drink and it was late at night when he was coming home. He had to come to his house through a boreen. When he was near the house he was interrupted by three lights. The first was extra bright the second not so bright and the third dull.
When this man went into his house he fainted and his wife and children got terribly upset and did not know what to do. The wife being a Catholic sent one of the children to a neighbouring house for the woman of the house. She went with the child and remained until morning.
They sent for the priest and when he came he performed his duties. When the man told him of the 3 lights the priest said to him that these were the children he buried without Baptism. He also told him that the bright was the child that got private Baptism. When this man recovered he became a Catholic and from that day to this the family are all Catholics.- Bailitheoir
