Michael Kelly aged 83, St John's Town land of Rinnegan, Lecarrow, Co. Roscommon, tells of a man he knew who had ring-worm. A neighbour of his had young pups. This man killed one of the pups and split his skull. Half of the skull he puts to the man's face with the ring worm. The worm came out and wound itself round the skull and the man was cured.A seventh son in a family is said to have a cure. When he is born, a worm is put in his hand. If the worm dies, he will have the cure.A general cure for all diseases was a lump of cowdung mixed with ashes. On the twelvth night this was brought in mixed with the ashes and made into a hard cake. Twelve lighted candles(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
