    Long ago travelling people were by far more numerous than they are at present. It was in the time of the famine they first started travelling around looking for alms.
    Some of them used buy small little things from the shop - keepers, and sell them at a profit of a penny. Others used beg for alms and lodgings.
    They were by far different from the people that go around now. Sometimes if they met each other on the roads they would begin fighting, and they often hurt each other, and they used very bad language.
    Some of them used work charms, by curing pains and aches, and it surprised several people.
