How nicely poor Reynard slipped out of the glen,
Although being surrounded by hundreds of men.
The Colonel crys "Hunt him "boys" Hark and Hallo",
Oh 'Patsy' keep shouting your 'Wild Barraboo'.

On each side of the glen, there was a very large crowd,
When the bugles were sounding, the glen did resound.
