  1. Long ago people sought many ways for curing themselves and their animals. They used to cure toothaches by boiling house leek and rubbing it of them and they also cured them by taking a tooth out of a corpse and rubbing it of the tooth.     They got grease out of a goose and they used it for sprains and stiff joints and burns. There were miracles got from holy wells. There are only two holy wells around this district. One of them is in Kilbegly and the other in Dromalga. People go there to get cured of many ailments such as headaches, by going around the well seven times and blessing themselves each time.
    If a person was suffering from warts and if they knew where there would be a rock and water in it and put three drops on the wart it would be cured. The seventh son
