- The herbs which destroy our farms are the prasha, the nettle and chicken weed and the brioslán which is a very bad sort of a plant. It takes away the good part of the land and smothers the little plants.
Rag weed and dandelion are cures for sort lips. Those weeds should only be a few hours pulled before using. Garlic is a little plant shaped like seed onions. It usually grows in bad rocky land it prevents cattle from getting the black-leg. The Mullingan plant is a cure for bronchitis.
The deta leaf is a cure for scrapes or cuts. The deta leaf is sometimes given as food for pigs in the Summertime. Nettles are given to young ducks in the late Spring.
