Ar an leathanach seo

  1. In former times shops were very scarce. There was only one shop in this parish. The people owned it were Whelans. The people used to go to town once a fortnight.
    In olden times people used not sell or buy while Mass was going on. But after Mass the people used to sell unknown to the Civic Guards.
    Money was always given for goods. Goods were never bartered in the district. Labour was not given in exchange for goods. We do not know what words were connected with buying and selling.
    Sunday was considered an unlucky day to transact business. The markets were held in the town. They are still there. Long ago people used to go around, and, gather rags and feathers.
    They were called Gipsies. We do not
