- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The smith uses a sledge, an anvil, a hammer, a pincers, a vice, a knife, a chisel and a rasp.
The smith sometimes makes farm implements. Wheels are always banded in the open air. It is said that in olden times the smith always got a gift of a cows head at Christmas.
They are always looked upon as being very strong men.
Long ago the forge was considered the centre of all the news. - There are two tailors in this district one Mr Corcoran Derry, Donoughmore and the other a Mr Cremin Ballygurragh, Donoughmore. Then a couple of miles out-side this parish there are other tailors known as Mr Carroll Comeen and Mr Cremin of Beeing and a Mr Carroll of Dripsey. Lots of people in this district go to those tailors to have clothes made. They all work in their own homes. No tailor now travels from house to house like they did(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
