A favourite indoor game for the long winter nights is Puicin. This is played in the following way. One of the party puts on a puicin and tries to catch the others around the kitchen. There is great rushing and noise and whoever is caught has to put on the puicin and the chasing begins again.
On St. Stephen's day the young boys disguise themselves and go around to the neighbours carrying a holly bush in which is tied a dead wren. They come to the houses and demand money to bury the wren. They sing and dance, and play music and the people generally receive them very kindly and give them money according to their means. With the money they collect, they have a "Wren party" to which they invite.
