- People still observe certain customs on some of the festivals throughout the year:-
On Shrove Tuesday, which is the last day of Shrove, people have feast of pancakes. The children enjoy this feast very much.
On St. Patrick's Day, Shamrocks, Harps, and green ribbons, are worn and pilgrimages and visits are made to the places visited by the Saint. Here, for example, we visit Knockpatrick from which the Saint is said to have blessed Clare, and foretold the coming of St. Sionan. On St. Patrick's Eve, the children go on groups through the fields searching for the Shamrock.
