- There was a landlord there before and his name was Mr. Grady and when he would come loocking for the rent for him he would put them out of there house and he would also carry the cattle from them. Some of them used to promise it to him but he would not take any promise from them. He came to this house in Bragg [?] and he asked for the rent and they hadent it for him and the (m) name of the man was Mr. Barry. That night some of the people of Bragg [?] gathered to-gether and went to Mr. Grady's house and carried the cattle they did not carry some of them but they killed them and left them in the cow-house and covered them with hay and left them there. They (bou) brought the rest of them home with them some of them fell in to Mr. O Brine's kiln and they didn't take them out but left them there and after bringing the cattle some of the people ate them, all that went for them ate a small share of them but especially Mr. D. Roche and Mr. John Roche.
