- About fifty years ago in a certain farm in the County of Limerick the following incident happened. About the end of August the owner of the farm was stacking hay. He had a large number of neighbours helping him at the stack as there were no hay-barns that time. At the far end of this farm there was one meadow of which they had only drawn about half the wynds and as the gap was open he ordered his two servants to go and close it lest the cattle would have the balance of hay left over upset before morning. As the men had closed the gate they saw approaching them four men bearing a coffin. The servants asked to give a helping hand in the carrying of the coffin but when they touched it the four men disappeared and the coffin was left to the two men. After a little consultation together they decided to bring the coffin to the farmer's house. About eleven o'clock that night when the farmer and his wife were gone to bed the two servants laid the coffin on the kitchen table and went to bed. When the farmer's wife got up in the morning she fainted. Then the farmer and his servants(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
