  1. These are the birds that are commonly found here in Ireland. Robins, Thrushes, Blackbirds, King Fishers, Sparrows, Starlings, Cranes, Finches, Wrens, Waterhens, Pigeons, Crows, Magpies, Wild ducks, Wild geese, Larks, Yellow Hammers, and a lot of others.
    The wren is supposed to be the king of all birds. He usually makes his nest in a furze bush. He makes it round with a hole in the side of it.
    Thrushes and blackbirds usually build their nest in hedges. They are both lovely singers.
    Sparrows build their nest in the thatch or in the side of a hay
