After the wedding had taken place, there was what was called a ''Drag'' to the house of the bride and groom, for the wedding celebrations. The
'' Drag'' consisted of the friends who rode saddle horses, ponies those in cars etc. A prize was given to the person who reached the house first.
The prize was the best stable or manger for the horse and some oats or hay. That person would also be guest of honour for the evening, and the next considered to the bride and groom, during the wedding party.
