When a person stands near this fort they would see three other forts. - In the 14th century there came 36 families from the North of Ireland to Mr Ellis, who lived where Patrick O'Loughlin lives now. Some of the families built their houses in John Glenny's land and the rest built their houses in Ellis's land.
The also built a brewery a linen factory and a lace factory. They also made a quern. This quern was worked by the running of the water which was close by. There were steps all round the quern so that the water when falling from a height would fall on those steps and revolve the big wheel.(continues on next page)- Collector
