- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)An Eden make for your herds and sheep;
Your matchless cities with trade o'erflow
From the ships that come and ships that go.
Take all the counties both North and South,
There's none can equal the County of Louth.Killarney's lakes are clear and bright,
And shadowed deep by the mountains height
Glengariff's vales are grand, they say
And I've heard folk rave o'er Dublin Bay.
Mountain and lake may please the eye,
And rounded bays with headlands high,
But give me a landscape fair to old,
Teeming with rich prosperity, __
Tis but phantom gold that Wexlow yields
But there's real gold in the Louthian fields.
They may boast of the Counties North and South,
But queen of them all is the County Louth.The boys of Louth are strong and gay,
First in the land for work or play,
To guide the plough or the harvest bind
Their equal in Erin you'll never find,
Cuchulain's blood in their race comes down,
Be they bred in country or in town;
If they're ever called in their country's need(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
