  1. One day a boy climbed the Yellow Steeple in Trim and when he wanted to come down he got frightened and was unable to come, so the people gathered around and tried to help him, but they could not find ladder long enough to reach the top.
They tried several plans to get up, with long ropes and poles, but all their attempts failed. After a long time an[d] old woman who was standing by said, "Take off your stocking avic ravel out the wool and tie a small stone to the end of the wool and let it down," which the boy did, the[y] tied a strong twine to the end of the wool, to the twine they attached a strong rope which he fastened to the top of the steeple, and slid down the rope safely to the ground, when he was down he thanked God and the wisdom of the old woman who certainly saved the boy's life.
