    bones. Continuing the search they found a chalice and remains of a priests' vestments which led them to believe that the bones were those of a priest who died there in the penal times in Ireland. On the authority of the oldest person around there the remains were supposed to be those of a Father Maguire. They were taken and buried in consecrated ground while the chalice and what remained of the vestments were sent to his friends in America. The cave was well searched on different occasions afterwards. The opening can be seen at the present day but is nearly closed again with earth bushes and stones.
