Informant - Mr J. Bruton, Ringtown, Castlepollard. - The best known of the weeds which grow here are Sow-thistle, thistle, God's blood, ragweed, Groundsel, Badgers nut or brioscans, dock, plantain leaf, chick-weed, sorrel, praiseac or charlock, clover.
The most harmful of these are ragweed, grondsel, chick-weed, dock, sow-thistle, thistle, briocáns.
