  2. Mr Hubert Reynolds, Rooskeynamona, Mohill, Co. Leitrim had a strange experience one night shortly after nightfall in a field near his own home.
    He had arranged to meet a party of boys who belonged to Cloonboney: a townland on the other side of the bog opposite Rooskeynamona, and they were to go to a dance.
    The party was to cross the bog to his land, and then, on to the main road by a pass.
    Hubert spent some time waiting at the gate where the party was to come out on the road. At last, he heard the laughs and shouts of the approaching crowd which he could see by the light of the moon. He walked in on the gate and down the pass which led by the side
