- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)crossroad. It is a big forge and has a big iron door. The roof is made from galvanised iron. There is only one fireplace inside the forge and beside it is a big bellows which is made from leather.
The smith uses many implements when working such as hammers, chisels, pincers, files and wrenches.
About four or five feet away from the fireplace there is an iron anvil which is used for beating the irons on. Outside there is a trough for cooling the hot irons. Many old people say that the water that is in this trough is used for curing warts.
There is a belief that if the sparks of the hot irons fly towards you you are supposed to get money.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
