Clogs were made in Ballyroebuck and were neater than those made nowadays. There were coverings for clogs made from sheeps skin but when they got wet they were no use. Clogs are sometimes worn still. The roadman who works on the road by the school has clogs at the present time.
There are no local shoemakers in this district nearer than Newtownbarry.
