it is about five miles from the town of New Ross. It is also recorded that Mass was celebrated there during the Penal Times. The moat is well known in Wexford. It is covered with trees now and on the sides with bushes. The creamery of Old Ross is not far from this moat. This moat or mound covers about half an acre of ground.
