- In this locality, as in many others, raths are very common. These are said to be inhabited by fairies or Good People as they are called.Near where I live, there is a rath and lights are frequently seen there. The light comes from another rath, in Raheenahone, Bree, Co. Wexford, stops at the rath in Ballymorris, then goes across the hill of Ballymorris, to a rath on the lands of Mr Laffan, Kereight, Bree, Enniscorthy.There is a rath in Raheenahone, called "The Sidheógs" and many people tell stories of peculiar happenings there. One night two local men were netting hares, Thomas Quirke Corroughnaboula, Bree, Co. Wexford and James Canning, Kereight, Bree, Co. Wexford. They were waiting for the hare to come into the nets and of course they had to be perfectly still and silent. They were standing at gaps some distance apart from each other.After a while Canning went over to Quirke and whispered him did he hear anything.
