    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    The principal bands of "travellers" that visit this part of the country are the Joyces, Caseys, McManuss and Powers. The Power and McManuss are sweeps and the Joyces and Caseys are tinsmiths.
    They make saucepans, cans and pudding tins. These they sell along with delph, glassware and artificial flowers. The people usually buy from them. They usually take bread, tea, sugar, flour and milk. Somethines they ask for nothing but a penny.
    They usually remain two or three days and they sleep in tents or caravans on the roadside. They travel in bands.
    The gipsies sell wicker baskets, chairs and little tables and they tell people their fortunes. These travellers are supposed to be able to make money.
    These "travellers" are seen in great numbers before fairs or patterns.
