    On that day twelve rushes are pulled, and put over the fire to dry. When they are dry, candle grease is melted. They are dipped in it and are lighted during the Rosary on that night.
    Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. Pancakes are made for the tea in the evening. It is also called "Pancake Night." A ring is put in one of the pancakes and whoever gets the ring will be married before next Shrove.
    On Ash Wednesday ashes is blessed and distributed to the people in order to make them remember that they were made from dust, and that they will return into dust.
    On Easter Sunday the young people eat a lot of eggs, each one trying who will eat the most.
