The dresser was filled with wooden dishes and “noggins”.
Only few dishes were used at meals. The tea was drawn in “tea drawers” and drank of “noggins”. “Tea drawers” were vessels mad of tin, and a narrow end to pour out the tea. These were sold by “tin smiths” and travellers.
