    evening they got oaten bread and fresh milk. Sometimes people got boiled potatoes, when they were plentiful, for their breakfast, dinner and supper. They took butter, pepper, and salt, along with the potatoes at their dinner.
    When the potatoes were boiled and teemed they were put into an article called a losset
    ( please see '' Old
    Crafts '') and placed on the middle of the floor. Then the people of the house sat around the losset and ate their dinner. When they had enough eaten they took a drink of buttermilk.
    Buttermilk is milk from which the butter has been taken from churning. When butter fat is taken from milk in a creamery, the milk left is called skimmed or separated milk. In this district many kinds of
