- On St Stephen's Day boys visit the houses dressed in false-faces and skirts gathering money. It is always divided fair and sometimes drink is bought for it. Some people keep it as a day of Abstinence as St Stephen promised that everyone who would keep it would they not take the fever that year.
On Whit Sunday and Whit Monday no one goes to fish as there is an unlucky hour during those two days. On May day no one borrows anything as it is said you would bring their luck. Some old people set a bush in the street and they are said(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
