The Lepreacaun is a small little man about a foot and a half in height. Once upon a time there were a lot of carts and men coming from a fair and they saw a man coming running before them and he went into the field and across ridges and they did not see what he was following. He was following a Lepreacaun and he tripped and fell and once he took his eyes of the Lepreacaun he did not see him anymore.

There was another story about a poor man who was told to go to a place where a Leprecaun used to be seen, every night at eleven oclock making boots. They told him to catch a hold of him and treaten to burn him. He went to the place where he would be seen and caught a hold of him. He brought him in to his own house and held him over the fire and told him he would burn if he would not tell him where there was a crock of gold. The Leprecaun told the man that there was a crock of gold under a tree in his own garden.
