- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)fair is a big source of income to almost all sections of the people around Mullagh. The farmers profit by it, the shopkeepers also and the eating-houses as well. Preparations are made for the fair for a week before it.
It is a general fair - cattle pigs and sheep are sold at it
There is a fair-green but the fair is usually so large that the entire street of Mullagh is full, too and often all the roads leading into the town for several hundred yards. This is especially true of the October and November fairs.
The old custom of the "luck-penny" is kept up in Mullagh. When the bargain is made, the entire sum asked is handed over(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
