- We have a lot of animals on the farm at home namely, sheep, cattle, horses, calves, pigs and cows.
The cows have got names, such as the Polly, the Jersey, Bald-face, the Rowen, the White cow and the Strawberry. When people are driving cows out of the field they (how up).
Nearly every calf has got a name such as the Red calf, the Curl calf, the Bald face, the Rowen and the Lame calf.
The cow house is made of cement and there are two mangers, one on each side, and about six appartments, one for each cow, and it is called the cowshed. The cows are tied with ropes or chains. They are sometimes tied by the legs or horns when they are wicked and when people are milking them.
No branch is ever hung in the cowshed, but sometimes a horseshoe is hung to bring luck to the stock(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
