The horses house is called a stable. There is a wrack in the stable and it is filled with hay for the horse to eat. The roof of the stable is made of iron and the floor is flagged. When the horse wants a new set of shoes he is brought to Charlie Shivnan who is the blacksmith for Crossna. During frosty weather the horse has to get frost nails in his shoes if going a journey. He is clipped twice a year. When we want to call the horse we say "plough".
